YOUR TASKS

We are looking for Cable Installation Expert (m/f/d) for an underground direct current (DC) connection between the Southern regions like Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. This is planned as a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line. The cable installation specialist is responsible for implementing cable installation methods and standards in the project (planning phase).

Your responsibilities include:

• Independent coordination and management of technical planning (jointing and cable laying sites)
• Independently ensures compliance with planning specifications in the technical planning
• Assists in planning the construction processes for cable installation in the construction phases.
• Evaluates and coordinates construction schedules for cable installation in the construction phases.
• Coordinates the construction processes for cable installation in the construction phase.
• Supports the client in monitoring compliance with construction schedules
• Independently operates and coordinates the technical interfaces between cable installation, civil engineering, cable logistics, and HSE.
• Inspects ongoing cable installation work and interim work statuses on site.
• Independently coordinates with the contractor's cable construction management on site.
• Assists in the implementation of approvals and acceptances.

REQUIREMENTS & YOUR EXPERTISE

• A degree in a technical field (e.g., civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering).
• Practical experience in construction project phases (HOAI phases 5 and 8).
• At least 5 years of project management experience, ideally in pipeline or cable construction.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., CDE Enterprise, Jira).
• Willingness to travel frequently, especially within Lower Saxony.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new software.
• Excellent German and English communication skills.
