YOUR TASKS

For HVAC Packages, we are looking for a HSE Client representative who will follow-up all HSE topics at the HVAC Fabrication Yard and support the Construction team of this package. He/ She will report directly to the Construction Manager and Package HSE Officer. The project consists of packages e.g.:: building an artificial energy island to house offshore HVAC and HVDC transmission infrastructure within the windfarm area, an offshore 220 kV AC substation (located on the island), six 220kV AC cable systems to connect the artificial energy to shore.

The service is scheduled to run from now until the end of 2027. The role is a full time role with 8 till 10 hours of work daily.

Tasks may include:

  • Is the point of contact for HSE-related issues on the construction site in the Yard, internally as well as with the EPCI Contractor
  • Monitors if organizational and technical measures are implemented to minimize HSE risks on the project, with specific attention to lifting operations and working at height activities, etc.
  • Attends pre-start meetings
  • Attends / Prepares / Gives toolbox meetings and other HSE trainings
  • Implements and monitors the Project Specific HSE management system, plan and HSE performance, in accordance with the Employer project HSE-plan and Requirements and legal requirements
  • Where relevant, provides input for HAZID’s / HAZOP’s of the EPCI Contractor and monitors mitigation measures
  • Where relevant, provides input on work instructions of the EPCI Contractor and Subcontractors
  • When applicable, attends HSE meetings
  • Provides input for improvements in the safety of the work
  • Monitors safe behaviour and use of safety equipment
  • Coaches and addresses personnel on site about HSE
  • Performs HSE Site and Sensible Monitoring inspections
  • Is present during the preparation and execution of (critical) operations executed by the EPCI contractor
  • Encourages the project team to behave as real safety leaders

REQUIREMENTS & YOUR EXPERTISE

  • Relevant experience with HSE management for major offshore and/or maritime projects (min 5yrs). Experience in EPCI Projects is a plus
  • HSE and technical educational qualifications in the related discipline
    • level: MVK or Prevention advisor level 2 or equal
  • Advanced computer and data skills
  • Knowledge of Belgian and Dutch HSE legislation is a plus
  • Knowledge of latest IT programs as word, excel, PowerPoint and doc control program (Aconex) is a plus
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
