YOUR IMPACT

For an offshore wind farm project in the German North Sea with a total capacity of 1.6 GW, we are seeking a Cable Installation Engineer (m/f/d) to join the offshore logistics team. In this role, you will support the planning and execution of cable installation activities.

Your range of tasks includes:

  • Review external designs, procedures, method statements, and risk assessments to implement safe and efficient offshore logistics solutions
  • Report directly to the Cable Installation Manager
  • Ensure health and safety by design and during execution
  • Develop logistics strategies for offshore wind farm installation
  • Develop and/or review cable installation procedures, method statements, and risk assessments, with a strong focus on cable termination and testing (T&T)
  • Potentially oversee offshore execution onboard cable installation and support vessels
  • Conduct technical assessments of installation methodologies
  • Support interface management by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including work packages, other projects, contractors, and authorities

REQUIREMENTS & YOUR EXPERTISE

  • Extensive background in offshore wind farm construction projects
  • Proven expertise in the preparation, engineering, and execution of offshore cable installation activities
  • Experience in cable termination and testing (T&T)
  • Experienced in the field of cable load-out, laying, pull-in, burial, PLGR, and cable protection systems
  • Strong understanding of contractual frameworks related to array cable installation
  •  Project management skills within offshore logistics environments
  • Adaptable and flexible with a readiness to travel as needed
  • Successful candidate must have eligibility to work in the EU, along with the outlined qualifications
