YOUR TASKS
We are looking for a Permitting Manager (m/w/d) for an offshore hybrid interconnector project between Scotland and Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing spatial planning and managing the permitting processes for the project's routing within Germany.
Your range of tasks includes:
- Preparation and quality-assured submission of application documents for regional planning and planning approval procedures, including obtaining relevant expert opinions and studies
- Supporting the planning approval procedure under authorisation law, in particular coordination with authorities
- Contact person for authorities
- You represent the clients interests vis-à-vis politicians and the transmission system operator for major projects (e.g.north coast line)
- Management of tendering, commissioning and management of service providers
- Coordination of the national approvals procedure for the proposed HV interconnector “HansaLink” between Scotland and Germany with a focus on the German section of the project, including Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ-BSH), Territorial Waters (12 nm zone) and onshore section in Lower Saxony Schleswig-Holstein (MEKUN, etc)
- Preparation and execution of scoping meeting with involved authorities in order to determine required scope of permit application documents
- Compilation of environmental impact assessments (EIA) and technical permit application studies (e.g. 2K-criterion, CBRA cable burial risk assessment, noise & light impact studies, cable coarse and fine routing etc.)
- Stakeholder engagement and representation of client towards federal and state authorities, including BSH, MEKUN and TÖBs (Träger öffentlicher Belange) etc.
REQUIREMENTS & YOUR EXPERTISE
- Successfully completed a degree in environmental planning, spatial planning or comparable
- Experience in planning and approval of infrastructure projects
- Experience in stakeholder management and planning authorities
- Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
- Working from home is possible but open to travelling is required especially to the authorities in Schleswig-Holstein
